It’s that time of year. The leaves are teasing their brilliant fall colors, the air is crisp in the morning, and pumpkin everything is available everywhere. When I stepped out of the house this morning I saw my breath. It’s October, the time to put away the sandals and pull out boots, scarves, hats, gloves, sweaters, and sweatshirts. Clothes I love almost as much as tank tops and flip flops. The transition to fall, like any season, is special. Transformative. It brings a different state of mind. You start taking things seriously. The party is over, it’s time to buckle down. Time to start following a schedule, get organized, go to bed early, and eat better. I’m not sure if any of those things will happen this year, but the blankets around the fire bowl did come out today. And my uggs. And I appreciated every chilly moment.
